Therapy for Women in Boise
Healing often begins with feeling safe enough to slow down and be seen. For many women, especially those who have experienced trauma, working with a male therapist can bring up understandable hesitation. I provide therapy for women in in a way that is grounded, steady, and respectful of your pace, where nothing is forced and you remain in control of the process. My work integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS) and hypnotherapy to help you process what you’ve been carrying in a way that feels safe, supported, and manageable.

Trauma-Informed Care
Healing begins with feeling safe enough to slow things down. As a veteran and someone who has worked in high-stress environments, I understand how the body can stay in a constant state of tension long after the situation has passed. In our work together, the focus is on creating a steady, grounded space where you don’t have to rush, perform, or force anything. We move at a pace your system can handle, allowing what you’ve been carrying to be processed in a way that feels manageable and supported.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Many of the patterns we struggle with don’t come out of nowhere. Different parts of us develop over time to help us get through difficult experiences. Some parts carry emotional pain, while others work hard to keep that pain out of awareness by staying in control, shutting things down, or pushing forward. In our work together, we begin getting curious about these parts instead of fighting them. As they start to feel understood, they often don’t have to work as hard to protect you. Over time, this can create more clarity, a greater sense of stability, and a deeper connection to yourself.
Clinical Hypnotherapy
Sometimes talking about something only gets you so far. Hypnotherapy allows us to work at a deeper level in a focused, relaxed state where many patterns and beliefs are held. In this state, we can explore experiences and reactions in a way that feels more accessible and less overwhelming. Rather than forcing change, the goal is to gently shift patterns that have been stuck for a long time.
For many of the women I work with, this can help reduce tension, create a greater sense of calm, and allow new ways of responding to take hold over time.
A Safe Space
Working through trauma requires more than just talking about what happened. It requires a space that feels steady, grounded, and safe enough for you to slow down without being pushed.
Because of my background in military and high-stress environments, I understand how difficult it can be to let your guard down, especially when you’ve had to stay strong for a long time. In our work together, there is no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. You remain in control of the pace the entire time.
If you’re considering therapy, we can start with a free 15-minute consultation to see if working together feels like a good fit.
Healing is Possible
Healing is possible. Even if it hasn’t felt that way for a long time, and even if part of you isn’t sure where to start. What you’ve been carrying makes sense given what you’ve been through, but it doesn’t have to stay this heavy. You’ve already done a lot just by getting through it. Therapy can be a place where things begin to shift in a steady, manageable way, where you don’t have to hold it all together on your own anymore.
